The Department of Rachana Sharir, a core component of the BAMS undergraduate curriculum, is dedicated to the comprehensive study of body structures from both Ayurvedic and modern scientific perspectives. The department’s practical focus includes systematic cadaver dissection, allowing students to explore and understand normal body structures in depth. Located on the first floor of the main college building, the department occupies 150 sq. meters and features dedicated spaces for a departmental library, museum, demonstration hall, and dissection hall. Our objectives are to educate students through cadaver dissection, impart detailed knowledge of human body structures via theory and practicals, and ensure students are well-versed in both applied and clinical aspects. The department is staffed by well-qualified professionals with significant experience and provides ample study resources, including models, specimens, charts, and library books, to support student learning.
